Hi
I know that RFID can and has been used for asset and inventory tracking, which tells which items are in inventory and which items are out of inventory. Is it possible for RFID to show how far away these items are, or their relative location - such use like location based positioning?

An example of this is the "Loc8ter" . Does anyone know how to do something like this? Except for personal use, and with smaller tags - closer locations?

When I say "location" I just mean will a reader know how far an active RFID tag is away.
